A submersible operated by Ocean Gate Expeditions has been missing since Sunday, June 18, 2023, while on an expedition to visit the Titanic wreckage in the Atlantic Ocean. The submersible, which is made of carbon fiber and titanium and can carry up to five people, has only 41 hours or less of oxygen left. The U.S. Coast Guard is leading the search for the submersible and its five occupants.
